American Classic purchases pipework exclusively from Eastern Organ Pipes in
Hagerstown, MD.
The following describes the process for manufacturing most metal pipework, following traditional methods.

Most organ pipe metal is comprised of lead & tin (50%) melted and spread on a casting table (below)

Then, the sheets are planed to thickness required, rolled, and cut according to the pattern required for the intended pipes

The metal is painted with a concoction called "whiting" which aids in soldering. The metal is "rounded" and soldered.
Pipe feet are assembled, cast toe points and rough languids are soldered in place
